How to prep for your newborn session? Here’s how to come to your session feeling more prepared!
Here are tricks to make your newborn session the most successful.
Keep your newborn up prior to the session. A simple bath might be all they need to keep those little eyes open. It’s not an easy task, but it will help improve the chances of a sleepy newborn.
Have a Paci on hand! It will only be used to soothe your newborn in between the different poses.
Milk! Be prepared to feed your little one a little bit out of schedule. It’s amazing how a little extra milk will help them stay in their newborn milk coma!
Sentimental items. Did you know I will try to include anything that’s special to you? I’ve honestly done some pretty silly things…but if they’re special to YOU, than they’re special to me!
Change of clothes. The studio runs around 80-85 degrees! You might want to have some lighter clothes to wear when you’re not in the photos! There is a bathroom/changing room that you’re welcome to use to get from comfy to casual or vise versa.
Your diaper bag…extra milk usually means a few extra diaper changes.
Flexibility. I know you have probably sat and thought about all the cute little poses you want in your session. BUT, the baby is boss! Some babies will pose into any positions, where others will be sure to let us know they aren’t doing it. We will be sure to keep baby comfortable AND adorable for their entire session.
