There is something about those first weeks with a new baby that you wish you could
pause: the tiny fingers, the sleepy stretches, and the way your baby fits in your arms.
If you’re searching for a Knoxville newborn photographer, I would love to help you
remember this season with portraits that feel like your family.
I’m Taryn of Taryn Yager Photography. My home studio is in Farragut, just outside
Knoxville, and I welcome families from across East Tennessee for studio newborn
photography. Whether you love bright, simple images or color and personality, we
can plan a session that reflects what you love.
Why choose a studio newborn photography session?
A studio session gives us a dedicated space to focus on your baby and your family. You
don’t need to prepare your house for pictures or worry about the weather. We can
make time for feeding, changing, and comforting your little one as needed. There is no
need for your baby to perform on a schedule.
My favorite portraits often include the details you might miss in the middle of
sleepless nights: little eyelashes, curled toes, and a newborn snuggled against a
parent. Those details are worth remembering alongside the portraits of everyone
together.
Newborn portraits that look like your family
Some parents picture a timeless white backdrop. Others want a little more color. We
can talk about the look you prefer before your session. The goal is to create images
you’ll be excited to display in your home years from now.
Parents and siblings are part of the story, too. If you want to be in the photos, please
do. One day your child will get to see just how small they were in your arms. And if an
older sibling needs a moment to warm up, that’s okay. I’m a mom of four boys, and I
know children do best when we give them room to be themselves. When should you book newborn photos in Knoxville?
If you’re expecting, reach out during pregnancy so we can talk about your due date
and the session you have in mind. Babies rarely follow a calendar, so we’ll plan
around your baby’s arrival. Newborn sessions are often photographed in the first few
weeks, but please ask even if your baby is older. Your family’s memories are still
worth capturing.
What should you bring to a newborn session?
Bring the things your baby normally needs, including feeding supplies, diapers, and a
spare outfit. If you have a meaningful blanket or small keepsake you’d love
photographed, tell me about it when we plan your session. You can also share
inspiration for colors or the overall feel of your images. I’ll help you decide what
works best in the studio.

Frequently asked questions about studio newborn photography
Do we have to schedule before the baby is born?
It helps to get in touch during pregnancy so we can start planning. If your baby is
already here, reach out anyway and ask about availability.
Can parents and siblings be in newborn pictures?
Yes. Tell me who you’d like photographed when you inquire, and we can plan images
of your baby alone and with the people they love. What if my newborn needs to eat or be changed?
That is a normal part of a newborn session. We can pause for your baby’s needs.
Where is your newborn photography studio?
My home studio is in Farragut, Tennessee, convenient to Knoxville and surrounding
East Tennessee communities. I’ll share the visit details when we plan your session.
Keeping you up to date with some of my most recent work and thoughts.
